European Commission plans would guarantee costs would be repaid by the patient's own national health scheme.

So WE can't spend OUR TAX on buying health care abroad.
THEY (foreigners) coming to UK as Health tourists will however get free health care paid for by our taxes.

Sounds sensible to me.

What about immigrants entering UK do they get free health care.

Best Health Care Insurance in the World claimed Mr Brown when he added 2% onto Britains wage bill some years back.( 2% on the total wage bill in all of the UK is indeed a lot of extra money)

And now if the health care is not the best and there is capacity elsewhere in Europe, then tough, you ain't going.

No doubt the UK is breaking EU law but hey, this is stalinist Labour at it's very best again.

If you need medical treatment, well you can just wait!

So this is the government that wants to ratify the "Lisbon treaty" but is quite happy to knock back stuff it doesn't like because it will cost them something? Well, not them but us in the form of never ending tax streams.

We could end the reverse health tourism for immigrants illegal or not until they have met certain conditions such as having been (legally) resident and paid tax for say 10 years, otherwise cough up. Same goes for state benefits. That might see a distinct reversal of enthusiasm to get here as opposed to many countries immigrants must pass through first. Evidently they do not have "MUG" stamped on their foreheads.

What government? I have looked at the Scottish Government website and googled the story - nothing about the Scottish Government here.

So it looks like you are all getting your knickers in a twist about something which does not apply in Scotland.
